If you already follow the adventures of our two favorite octogenarians, you have certainly been able to watch season 6, released on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 on Netflix. Available on the streaming platform since May 8, 2015, Grace and Frankie is a creation of American producer Marta Kauffman (Friends) and producer Howard J. Morris. It stars Jane Fonda as Grace Hanson and Lily Tomlin as Frankie Bergstein – Best Actress in a Comedy at SAG 2018 – as well as their respective husbands Robert Hanson (Martin Sheen) and Sol Bergstein (Sam Waterston), and their children. When the two men, after more than forty years of married life, announce that they both want a divorce because they love each other and want to get married, the two women will see their lives turned upside down.
Grace & Frankie, soon to end:
Despite beautiful years and a clever mix of humor, emotion and a touching look at the concerns of our elders, the duo Fonda / Tomlin, will soon retire definitively. Rest assured, though, since that's not the case yet. Indeed, before definitively stopping the series, Netflix has ordered a final and final season 7, which should be released in 2021. Grace and Frankie is currently the longest-running series on the platform and for this final season, unlike the previous ones, it will have 16 episodes, bringing the total number to 94.
The reaction of our duo:
"We are thrilled and sorry that Grace and Frankie are back for a seventh season, but one final season. We are truly grateful that our series has been able to address the issues of our great generation. And also those of their children, and surprisingly of their children too. We will miss these two old girls, Grace and Frankie, as much as their fans, but we will always be there. We've survived so much – let's just hope we don't survive the planet… " If you also enjoyed following the adventures of the crazy duo, we look forward to seeing you next year for a final and unique season!
