While season 10 of Doctor Who is fast approaching, the showrunner of the series makes revelations about the next enemies of the Doctor !

This Saturday, April 15 on the BBC will begin the tenth season of Doctor Who, which will be the last season of Peter Capaldi but also Steven Moffat. The latter, to mark the occasion, seems to have concocted a season foolproof and he begins to talk about it even before the first episode is released. It had already been revealed that the Doctor would once again face the Ice Warriors and Cybermen but this time, Steven Moffat says a lot more.

On Saturday, the BBC aired an interview with the showrunner that listed some of the new monsters that will face Capaldi in season 10: "By nature, I'm super excited when there are new monsters, but here we have wonderful things! We have a snake that lives under the Thames and has the shape of the Thames […]. We have Emojibots, which are small, cute, and communicate through emojis and turn you into skeletons, so it's brilliant. We have the creature that makes you shiver the most in the episode written by Mike Bartlett – but I won't tell you what it is… But I promise you that several moments will make you scream 'URGH! '."

"I watched several effects from episode 4 and I thought" My god, are we going to put this on TV?! " It's really disgusting and beautiful at the same time. We have new enemies, which I won't talk about too much, but we call them the Monks, even if that's not really their name. We have a fabulous Scottish creature thanks to the writer Rona Munro, the Light Eater. The Ice Warriors are back with new surprises and of course, Missy is there – again with Peter Capaldi's Doctor – he's constantly up against Missy, tested and obsessed with his oldest friend and most cunning enemy.

Speaking of Missy, brilliantly played by Michelle Gomez since season 8, the BBC has officially announced that actor John Simm will return to the series ! He had in seasons 3 and 4 the role of the Master and then faced David Tennant's Doctor. He had since disappeared from the series and it is therefore Michelle Gomez who took over the role as Missy. So will there be a confrontation between Simm and Gomez? How does Master do in his return to face the Doctor? Just like us, you'll have to wait a while to find out…

The Doctor will now be in the company of Nardole, who appeared in the episode The Husbands of River Song as Matt Lucas, and Bill, his new companion played by Pearl Mackie. Are you ready for this final stretch with Peter Capaldi and Steven Moffat? The first episode of season 10, The Pilot, will be broadcast on April 15 on the BBC.
