The final episode is fast approaching for Peter Capaldi, the opportunity to stage the return of a former Doctor, a companion and the discovery of a new character!
The trailer for the Christmas episode of Doctor Who was revealed at San Diego Comic-Con. This trailer of the episode, named Twice Upon A Time, has the advantage of arousing strong emotions to keep us in suspense until the end! Above all, we celebrate the return of the First Doctor, in the guise of David Bradley, a role previously held by William Hartnell between 1963 and 1966. But rest assured, we can expect much more for the end of the Capaldi era within the TARDIS!
We will first welcome the return of Mark Gatiss in the series! A nine-time writer for Doctor Who, he has also previously appeared in the series as Lazarus in season 3, alongside David Tennant and Freema Agyeman. This time, he supports his friend Steven Moffat, with whom he works on the Sherlock series, for his last episode as showrunner of Doctor Who. He will play the Captain, a hero of the First World War.
Finally, the Doctor's newest companion will make her last return to the series! Pearl Mackie will have in this episode the opportunity to say goodbye to the series and Bill Potts, the character she plays in season 10. Her presence was made official through this trailer but she hastened to say that this will be her departure from the series, just like Steven Moffat and Peter Capaldi.
No images for the moment of Jodie Whittaker, the heiress of the role of the Doctor freshly announced more than a week ago! She is the first woman to play this role but did not participate in the Doctor Who panel at San Diego Comic-Con. No worries, however, since no other Doctor had officially participated in such events before integrating the series on the screen.
More than five months to wait, the episode Twice Upon A Time will be broadcast on December 25 on the BBC!
