DC's Legends of Tomorrow will welcome a new member!
After Rip Hunter's departure from the Waverider at the end of season 2, there was a vacancy on the Legends team. It seems that this is no longer the case with the announcement of the arrival of the character of Zari Adrianna Tomaz, also known as Isis in the comics.
Isis is originally the wife of the character of Black Adam, Shazam's enemy. She has powerful powers related to the Egyptian goddess. The heroine was also entitled to her own television series in two seasons between 1975 and 1976 under the name of The Secret of Isis.
The character featured in DC's Legends of Tomorrow , however, will be a little different. Although Zari Adrianna Tomaz possesses powers related to an ancient source, she is described as a young woman living in a world of contradiction. She is a Muslim American living in 2030, a combative hacktivist. The name of Isis and references to the Egyptian goddess are absent from the character's description.
She will be played by Iranian actress Tala Ashe, who we have seen in the series Smash and American Odyssey. Its first appearance is not yet dated, as is the resumption of season 3 of DC's Legends of Tomorrow.
The series will return for a third season on Tuesday night after season 4 of The Flash on the CW. In the meantime, check out our review of the second season of DC's Legends of Tomorrow !
