From Saturday 7 to Wednesday 11 April 2018 will be held the first season of the CanneSeries festival. Ten international series will compete to win the CannesSeries trophies (Belgium, Germany, Israel, Mexico, Norway, Spain, the United States and the United States). …
At the initiative of the mayor of Cannes, David Lisnard, this event "aims to promote and embody series from around the world, as a spokesperson for this new popular and ultra-creative art. This event open to all, organized by an independent association chaired by Fleur Pellerin, wants to bring together the best of the speakers from the world of series, bring out the talents of tomorrow, and create an unmissable international competition.
A jury and a master of presentation of the highest order!
For this first edition, Harlan Coben, writer and series creator will preside over the jury with actresses Paula Beer (Germany) and Mélissa Sözen (Turkey), screenwriter and director Audrey Fouché (France), composer Cristobal Tapia de Veer (Chile/Canada) and actor Michael Kenneth Williams (United States).
The prizes awarded will concern music, screenplay, interpretation, the Special Interpretation Prize and finally that of the Best Series on Wednesday, April 11 at the closing of the first season of the Cannes International Series Festival.
In parallel with the Official Competition, the Festival organizes a Competition dedicated to short formats: CANNESERIES DIGITAL. During the Closing Ceremony, the Digital Jury will award the prize for the Best Digital Series.
The winners will receive an original trophy created by Californian artist Steven Harrington, on Wednesday, April 11, during the Closing Ceremony broadcast live and clear on CANAL+ and presented by Kyan Khojandi master of ceremonies.
This year, we break the codes!
For this new event on the Promenade des Anglais, CANNESERIES has decided to break the codes and offers a climb of the steps from April 7 at 6pm but this time on a pink carpet with a dress code "creative chic". So for sneaker lovers this is the opportunity to bring out your best pair.

CANNESERIES ADDICT, the rendezvous "Hors les murs"
The Cannes International Series Festival presents the program of CANNESERIES ADDICT which will take place from 4 to 11 April 2018 at the Miramar space and the Théâtre de la Licorne.A free program open to all, with evening events around popular series, meetings with talents, new screenings and resumption of the Official Competition and CANNESERIES Digital.
"Tribute evenings dedicated to cult and popular series, in the presence of the teams, for great moments of sharing with the public."
Mark your calendars:
– Thursday, April 5: A French village "One of the biggest French successes of recent years"
– Friday, April 6: the first part of the evening dedicated to the popular series "Chérif" in the presence of the team and with the screening of a special episode "Starsky & Hutch" in the presence of Antonio Fargas aka Huggy the good tips. The second part of the evening will be devoted to short cult series such as "Bref", "Serge le Mytho" and "Bloqués". The public will be able to see and review episodes and enjoy the presence of the actors who will be present for all the screenings and will intervene during the evening.
Meetings
Writers, directors, or actors will share their passion for series, look back on their careers and answer questions from the public.
The teams of successful French series such as "Captain Marleau", "Tomorrow belongs to us", "Household scenes", "En famille" or "Le Bureau des légendes" will be present for meetings with the public.
Les Masterclasses
Domique Maïsi, author of the Geopolitics of series, Frédéric Krivine, scriptwriter, Harlan Coben, author and creator of series, Jean-Jacques Annaud, director, Michael C. Hall, actor and members of the Digital Jury will offer masterclasses accessible to all audiences.
FREE SCREENINGS OPEN TO ALL
The public will be able to attend various screenings such as a new episode of the series "Section de recherches" or the documentary "Les Génériques de séries" directed by Olivier Joyard.
Good to know: the screenings of the CANNESERIES Digital competition will take place on Wednesday, April 11 at Espace Miramar. The series of the Official Competition will also be screened in catch-up session as part of CANNESERIES Addict, at the Théâtre de la Licorne.
