Versailles – Season 2
A real success when it was broadcast at the end of 2015, Versailles will be back in March 2017 on Canal+ for a second season. Confirmed even before knowing the audiences of the premiere, this new season promises to be very dark for King Louis XIV. Filming started in January 2016 and we should find all the characters four years later. Part of this season was filmed in May 2016 at the Château de Fontainebleau, notably in the Chapelle de la Trinité. For now, we only know the title of the first episode, The Labyrinth. The series will premiere on the pay channel before Canada and the United States.
The Bureau of Legends – Season 3
The order for a third season was announced during the premiere of season 2, on April 14, 2016. Eric Rochant, creator and producer, announced a month later that writing was underway. Logically, we should find around April or May the third season of the adventures of the Bureau des Légendes, always led by Malotru (Matthieu Kassovitz), Henri Duflot (Jean-Pierre Daroussin), Doctor Balmes (Léa Drucker) and Marina Loiseau (Sara Giraudeau). New investigations, new countries and new plots for the series that fascinated last year up to 2.3 million viewers (download).
Gears – Season 6
The sixth season of Gears began filming on May 5, 2016 for seven months. Based on a script by Anne Landois and other authors from previous seasons, the twelve episodes are expected in the course of 2017. Directed by Frédéric Jardin (Braquo, Engrenages season 5) and Frédéric Mermoud (Les Revenants), we will find our favorite characters, including Commissioner Herville (Nicolas Briançon), transferred to Seine-Saint-Denis at the end of the previous season. But also Captain Laure Berthaud (Caroline Proust), Lieutenant Gilou Escoffier (Thierry Godart) and Master Clément (Grégory Fitoussi). We will also be able to discover a brand new commissioner at the DPJ, Laure's hierarchical superior, which promises us beautiful scenes!
Kabul Kitchen – Season 3
February 20th will mark the return of Kabul Kitchen, after more than 3 years of absence. Gilbert Melki, who played Jacky Robert during the first two seasons, leaves his place to the Belgian actor Stéphane de Groodt for new adventures in 12 new episodes. A new beginning for the series, which promises us still beautiful slices of laughter! While waiting to discover these new episodes on Canal +, the team of the series is already working on a fourth season that should be scheduled in early 2018, if all goes well!
While waiting to have news about seasons 2 of Baron Noir, with Kad Merad and Niels Arestrup, still in production, as well as the third and last season of The Tunnel (with Clémence Poésy), the year looks good for Canal +!
