Zaïko Langa-Langa is still active, fifty years after her birth. This legendary band from Kinshasa continues to discover and evolve rumba, with an absolutely irresistible double cd. Sève is released on September 25 by Prozal / Quart de Lune, supported by clips that make impressive scores on Youtube, sign of the good health of this music, in Africa but also around the world. Romba is a music, a dance, a style, a state of mind. The Zaïko Langa-Langa orchestra, a true monument of music, comes from the former Zaire, now the DRC. The group celebrates its 50th anniversary and offers a double album, Sève, containing some of the flagship titles of the ensemble. In Kinshasa in 1974, on the occasion of the legendary Mohamed Ali / George Foreman boxing match, Zaïko was already there, on stage, alongside James Brown and Tina Turner for the great concert of this historic meeting. 
Led by Jossart N'yoka Longo, the group has been active for fifty years (and with many changes of membership along the way), is the oldest orchestra in the history of Congolese music and a true cultural icon. Several famous musicians began their careers there, influential in the 1970s, such as Papa Wemba, Pépé Felly, Evoloko Jocker, Jossart N'Yoka Longo and Bimi Ombalé. After an extensive tour in the United States last year of about thirty dates, followed by an anniversary concert in Brussels, the orchestra is preparing its return to Europe for a series of concerts aimed at introducing the public to the double album Sève.
