The rapper Younes released on November 20 his new EP Bientôt à la mode. Rilès' childhood friend once again proves his ease in mixing flow and sarcasm. After obtaining his Master 1 in Law, Younes decided to stop his studies to devote himself to theater and music. Through his texts, the artist wants to mock but also denounce, as he confides to Konbini: "in a fairly natural way, already everything that is injustice can revolt and inspire me. Where I have the impression that there are lies, unspoken or hypocrisy. Anything that seems fake, I want to talk about it and dismantle it." It was throughout his youth that he developed his taste for writing. He also tells in an interview with Raplume: "It was my mother already, who gave me the taste for reading above all, and reading came writing. When I was in college, writing, I loved it. I even had a diary, that kind of thing… And I always wanted to be a writer, basically. I think the taste for writing, it comes from reading, mainly." A love for writing that he cultivates by listening to artists such as Hugo TSR, Médine, Youssoupha, or Booba. In 2017, Younes shared his first big stage with his friend, rapper Leone. In 2018, he absolutely wants to participate in the show 'Rentre dans le Cercle', hosted by rapper Sofiane. On this subject, he explains to Paris-Normandie: "I did the forcing, I had no contact, I went to the audacity. I had a text that I found very strong, I made a Twitter video with the first verse saying: 'If you want the sequel, let me fit into the circle.'" A forcing that pays off. In his new EP Bientôt à la mode, composed of five tracks, Younes talks about many social issues. In the central track, The Collapse , the rapper evokes ecology by slipping into the skin of a climate skeptic, not without drawing beautiful punchlines. A project to listen to urgently!
