Weekend Affair, the pop duo from Lille, signs its return with Fini de Jouer and its throbbing melody that takes to the guts. We present the clip in weekly music selection of JustFocus. Discovery of the Lille duo bringing together the crooner-guitarist-singer Louis Aguilar and his drummer accomplice, Cyril Debarge. Within Weekend Affair, we find Cyril Debarge, a luminous composer whose prowess of extroversion quickly became the ideal landing strip for the melancholic texts of a Louis Aguilar with humor sometimes too true, who paints his own words in the colors of his deep voice. Worthy heirs of a French song in the tradition of Alain Bashung, Etienne Daho or Benjamin Biolay, Weekend Affair dresses its melodies with a disturbing and exalted poetry. First single, the duo unveils a very pop title called Fini de Jouer. With years of experience in music, interspersed with formative collaborations with artists as diverse as Yuksek, Albin de la Simone, Julien Doré, Rubin Steiner or Pomme, they are not beginners and place themselves with their latest album Quand Vient la nuit as worthy heirs of a French song as free as audacious. A few words from Weekend Affair to talk about the new album: "The album is called "Quand vient la nuit", and it contains 11 tracks. It was recorded like the previous albums: at first, I made the prods in my home studio, and Louis recorded at home the witness voices. Then we recorded the final voices with Antoine Brun & Ronan Mézière, the members of Edgär (electro-pop group from Amiens). It's a hybrid mode of operation, where we sometimes work alone, sometimes collectively." Here is the clip of Fini de Jouer à découverte: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAUWJO-xuW8&t=64s
