Vaiteani sends us a new postcard from Tahiti. The couple announces a second album called Signs for next November with the clip of Homai to discover in the musical selection of JustFocus. Vaiteani had conquered the French public with a first album qualified as Polynesian folk. We had discovered the sublime voice of the singer of Vaiteani, and the passion of Luc for the most amazing instruments. Their revival of Belle-Ile-en-Mer hailed by Laurent Voulzy had even been around the globe. Today, the duo is back with a second album called Signs. He presents it as a musical archipelago that the listener can explore. We find their multiple influences, Tahitian, necessarily, but also African, pop, American, and even reggae. "Discover songs like the islands of an archipelago, which invite us to get on a double canoe and sail in the warm waters of the Pacific to discover them. 1st stage of the trip: Homai! " the group said on its social media. Co-produced with David Grumel (The Pirouettes, Neeskens), the album Signs is expected next November, with an extensive French tour that will allow Vaiteani to find his audience. The first single, Homai, makes us hear "a hypnotic bass, rhythm and a clip where dance is the only watchword. " This title marks a sound shift for the group, gently, one suspects, towards a more dynamic, more pop music. The Vaiteani evolve and slide their original "Polynesian folk" on the paths of fluorescent pop and fine electro. A transposition accomplished with great grace that remains faithful to the duo's DNA. Vaiteani travels from Polynesia to Africa with Homai, first single from the next album, accompanied by a clip written, directed and edited by Pascale and Julien MARCKT : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mCH0XI-WUbQ&feature=emb_logo You can follow the duo on Facebook
