Tilmann releases his 1st EP Chrysalis at the end of May. We draw the portrait of this Breton songwriter with refined and poetic folk talent. Good discovery on Justfocus. Tilmann unveils Fall, the first single from the album, a title as an initiatory passage. His vision of folk is magic. Words, notes, chords, are for Tilmann the means to lift us up and lead us into his world. This musician, singer / guitarist of the Nantes folk scene, launches today in solo after having made us discover Jackson C. Frank on tour. The only album of this little-known and too soon deceased composer, "Blues run the game" (1965), on the border of folk and blues, inspired many musicians of his generation, including Paul Simon and Nick Drake. Between faithful tribute and rearrangement, Tilmann's show was intended as a parenthesis in the 60's of the folk world. Today, it is with six titles composed by him that Tilmann returns to us. Recorded with four musicians, Tilmann's folk is adorned with splendid and melancholic acoustic arrangements.

He honors his taste for meeting by sharing the interpretation with three musicians who enrich the songs with their singular colors, at the crossroads of trad, jazz and world music universes: Pierre Lenormand (drums), Rémi Allain (bass and double bass), Pierre Thary (cello and trumpet).
