The Magical music of Harry Potter
Did you love the saga in the cinema? Do you know all the music of the films? Or are you just a fan of the Harry Potter universe? Then you will love this musical event. The Salle Pleyel offers you on March 25 at 8pm a magical and bewitching musical show, with the London Philharmonic & Symphonic Film Orchestra. For 2 hours, you can listen to a compilation of the soundtracks of the films as well as the best of the music of "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child", which has received many awards in London and New York. And there will be a special guest, from the Weasley family! Yes, you will have the chance to meet Chris Rankin who plays Percy Weasley, the brother of Ron Weasley in the saga. He will tell you about the filming of the films, his experiences as an actor in Harry Potter but also his adventure in general in this dangerous world of magicians.
The Music of Hans Zimmer & Others
The Music of Hans Zimmer & Others is a musical event that will take place at the Salle Pleyel on March 26, 2022. A concert for young people and adults, whether they are film buffs or music lovers. The music will be performed by a symphony orchestra. You will listen to a symphonic retrospective of the most beautiful moments of cinema. Hans Zimmer is a German composer, naturalized American, recognized worldwide for his talents that earned him several nominations at the Golden Globes, the Oscars and the Emmys. Hans Zimmer became famous thanks to his score for the film "Rain Man", released in 1988, for which he received his first Oscar nomination. He continues his ascent by chaining successes. He has composed the music for The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean and Gladiator, not to mention Inception and James Bond. More recently, for the music of Christopher Nolan's film "Dunkirk", Hans Zimmer received his eleventh Oscar nomination! Come and discover on March 26 at 3pm a compilation of his most beautiful compositions in the huge Salle Pleyel!
The Lord of the Rings – The Hobbit
After Harry Potter, it is the turn of the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit saga to go on stage for a unique musical event. You will be able to (re)discover a mosaic of film music. All highlighted by a symphony orchestra and a choir of a hundred people. These sagas, taken from the books of J. R. R. Tolkien and directed by Peter Jackson, have gathered nearly 35 million admissions in France. Highly appreciated by the general public, these sagas include many music composed by extremely different talents including Annie Lennox, Enya or Ed Sheeran. This music will be repeated during the musical event, ranging from the threatening sounds of Mordor to the attack of the black horsemen or the lyrical melodies of the elves. Two guests are planned (if Covid allows it…), first Sean Astin, aka Sam, the famous Hobbit! He will come to discuss on stage, his career but also his feeling of the adventure The Hobbit. The Salle Pleyel will also welcome J.'s great-grandson.R.R Tolkien! He was lucky enough to be invited to play a Ranger of Gondor in The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, and then Captain of the Rangers in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. Although his great-grandfather passed away when he was still young, he was always passionate about the world of The Hobbit. This concert will transport you to this fantastic world of J.R.R. Tolkien.
