On July 7 & 8, the summer edition of The Peacock Society was held at the Parc Floral in Paris. Back in pictures and focus on our favorites.

It is now the tradition, at the beginning of July, direction the Parc Floral de Paris for two nights of madness under the sign of electronic music. As every year, the program was mouth-watering and the artists did not disappoint the 24,000 dancers of this edition.

Let's skip the now well-established organization that makes The Peacock Society a reliable festival without headaches and focus on the good ideas of We Love Art to bring magical nights to the public.

Still spread over three stages, the lineup oscillated, as usual, between house and techno, offering great visibility to young artists and collectives, while welcoming big international names. If for the winter edition, we could count on the Nordic baths to warm up, it is a giant fogger that had this time been installed to counter the Parisian heat wave and refresh festival-goers between two sets and three dance steps. Those for whom the three scenes were not enough were able to test the Slient Disco. Under an open-air neon tent, you could come and enjoy the headsets made available and a playlist as eclectic as it is confusing because, at first glance, not very consistent with the electronic programming of the festival. However, the initiative is no less interesting, as well as the traditional Photo Call stamped Adidas. So many things that make it possible to diversify a little more the activities offered during The Peacock Society, which offers each edition a wide range of little extras to brighten up the sweet evenings spent at the Parc Floral.

This electronic weekend, up to expectations, has earned us some favorite services. Our ears leaning towards techno, we were rather caught by the quality of the sets of the artists from this scene.

If we had to remember only three names this weekend, our hearts would turn to Voiski, Nina Kraviz and Avalon Emerson

True to form, Voiski offered festival-goers a powerful techno journey. The dancers of the Warehouse, which was undeniably filled at the beginning of the performance of the French known for his high-flying lives, were able to enjoy a clever mix of heaviness and lightness as well as a perfect alliance of raw sounds and more melodic sounds. An hour of happiness, orchestrated in such a way as to increase the excitement and launch the evening as it should be.

Nina Kraviz

The same evening and although she is a regular at Parisian festivals, Nina Kraviz once again panicked the crowd with a frenzied set. Some will say that she too often uses the same formula and the same titles, will tell us that she knows how to make the charm work with a sharp selection, a worked construction and a sweet violence of which she has the secret. The strong point of the charismatic Russian is undoubtedly her ability to offer exceptional closings thanks to a beautiful choice of tracks and a perfect communion with her audience. There is no better time to enjoy one of his sets than in the early morning and it is not his performance at this edition of The Peacock Society that will say the opposite.

Little nugget of the second night of the festival and our favorite programming, Avalon Emerson surprised many people. The young American now based in Berlin proposed a set of one hour and a half, surprising and original. If we are not yet used to seeing her in the big French festivals, she has begun to make her place in the world of techno and commands respect. His powerful performance released a beautiful energy that could only take the whole Squarehouse on a nice unexpected journey. In other words, we will have to follow it very closely.

The Peacock Society

Beyond this top 3, we must highlight the very good sets of the inevitable Marcel Dettmann, who had the heavy task of following after Voiski, of Ancient Methods who took care of the closing on the Club stage on Friday, under the banner of the collective Blocaus, of The Black Madonna and DVS1 who took over from Avalon Emerson on Saturday.

This edition of The Peacock Society once again offered beautiful moments of music supported by a scenography always very worked that helps to suspend time and transport festival-goers to another dimension for two nights. See you next year for another moment of grace.
