Almost a year after the release of their fifth album Ash & Ice, the Anglo-American duo The Kills will release an acoustic EP. Named Echo Home Non-Electric, it will be composed of four titles.
In 2016, we found Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince, the training duo of The Kills with a fifth album Ash & Ice after five years of absence. Full of very good titles like Doing It To Death, Heart Of A Dog and Impossible Tracks, this album was an opportunity for the band to try new styles.
An acoustic EP one year after Ash & Ice
To mark the anniversary of Ash & Ice, The Kills will release an acoustic EP in the name of a title of the album, specifically Echo Home Non-Electric. Inside, we will find 4 tracks in acoustic version: Echo Home, a cover of Desperado, from Rihanna's latest album, ANTI, Wait, from their very first album Keep On Your Mean Side and That Love, present on Ash & Ice in the same way as Echo Home.
The Echo Home Non-Electric EP will be available on digital platforms from June 2nd and will then be released on vinyl on August 18th (pre-order here), a week before their appearance at Rock En Seine.
The band posted a video of their cover of Rihanna's Desperado on their YouTube channel:
