Sarāb is back with his second album Arwāh Hurra which goes even further in the symbiosis of jazz rock and the Orient. Sarāb – mirage in Arabic – is a musical building that combines modern jazz, traditional oriental music and rock influences. Sarāb was born on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 with the release of the clip of our first title "Qultu Lamma", totally self-produced. This traditional Syrian piece comes from the musial heritage of the city of Aleppo, notably sung by Sabri Moudallal and his ensemble. Born from the meeting between the Franco-Syrian singer Climène Zarkan and the guitarist Baptiste Ferrandis, Sarāb, which means mirage in Arabic, is a musical building that combines rock, modern jazz and traditional Arabic music. The duo quickly transformed into a six-headed creature, where each became indispensable to musical creation. The six musicians of the group play with borders and genres. Sarāb, new album Arwāh Hurra Dreaming with jazz harmonies, exulting with the energy of rock, dancing with the rhythms of the world, the six musicians sublimate the depth of traditions to deliver to Men the enchanting poetry of these eternal melodies. After the release of their first album in 2019, they return with "Arwāh Hurra" – free souls, which extends the musical explorations of the first and confronts the fractures of societies, Arab as European. "The music of SARAB is nourished by a lively, indomitable energy, it summons our senses to enter into active meditation or action meditation or meditate, premeditate … I don't know anymore… Where are we? In a concert hall? In our living room? Among the dunes of an endless but suddenly familiar desert? " Here is a musical mirage that navigates between several universes with guests the percussionist Wassim Hallal, the saz player Abdallah Abozekry or the committed author and science fiction writer Alain Damasio.
