Sara Lugo has managed to establish herself in modern reggae in the space of a few albums, and various featuring, thanks to her exceptional voice. This German-Puerto Rican singer has since settled in France. Elevate, his new EP announced for a few months, which will be followed by an album called Flowaz, marks a musical and spiritual turn, born of his meeting and collaboration with DJ Blanka who can be found in the Marseille collective La Fine Equipe. "Blanka and I met five years ago. It was in the studio where I was recording a track with "Phases Cachées". Soon after, he sent me the instrumental for "Elevate". We thought we could do even better. He kept sending me instrumentals, I would go to his studio to try ideas… Mixing our two musical worlds was a real journey. We have a great musical and human connection. I really like his vibe, more neo-soul, hip hop, jazz… " explained the singer in an interview. 
With Flowaz and the EP Elevate , whose flagship song was also unveiled on Youtube a few months ago, Sara Lugo achieves a musical turn, without losing her reggae identity. Heavily influenced by artists like Lauryn Hill, India Arie and Erykah Badu, Sara combines her folk-tinged soul voice with the sophistication of jazz and the fresh, modern side of hip-hop.
