Without Limits, the third episode of the Star Trek reboot saga, benefits from today a quality soundtrack with Rihanna and the title Sledgehammer. Co-written with Sia, the film benefits from a new great promotion.
Rihanna sets the scene for the film
Chris Martin recently dubbed Rihanna the title of "Frank Sinatra of our generation" thanks to the golden voice of the Barbadian star. Able to change her musical style brilliantly like no one, Rihanna sets the atmosphere for the new blockbuster of this summer 2016, Star Trek Without Limits (release scheduled for August 17 in France).
Co-written with Sia, this track is both heavy and flawlessly produced. We owe it to American producer Jesse Shatkin (One Direction, Charlie Puth, Foxes). Is this the omen of a new tube, with a full hunting board, for Rihanna? This soundtrack is in any case not without reminding us of Seal's legendary Kiss from a Rose for the Batman Forever soundtrack and dating from 1995.
But where will it end?
The one who had made the pop world languish by delaying to infinity the release of her 8thalbum, ANTI, unveiled in January of this year, multiplies as usual the great musical differences. Rihanna recently became the youngest artist with the most No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, including her frenzied duet with rapper Drake on Work. She recently ranked the single This Is What You Came For that she shares with English DJ Calvin Harris in 5thposition of the Billboard Hot 100, in addition to positioning at the same time the single Needed Me (from the album Anti) at the bottom of the top 10 of the same chart, and this for several weeks. Currently in the middle of a world tour since the beginning of March and until the end of November (and visiting the Stade de France on July 30), with the Anti World Tour, which has already brought in more than $ 33 million, Rihanna continues her meteoric rise as the legend she has been building since 2005. At only 28 years old and 11 years of career (phew!), Rihanna continues to impress. And we hope for a long time to come.
