[Interview] Reunion with Calum Scott for the release of "Only Human", his first album

Calum Scott was back in Paris to promote his debut album, Only Human. We found him during an exceptional acoustic session organized for his fans.

It was our second meeting with Calum Scott and a real pleasure to see him in the capital.

The talented British is finally back after a little teasing at the end of last year, with the release of a first single (or rather second after Rythm Inside), You Are The Reason. A sublime title, a beautiful statement that he recently performed featuring Leona Lewis.

Since then we had received an invitation that we could not resist and that we had the chance to share with you with a contest.

This one allowed one of you to meet Calum Scott during a listening session, where the singer revealed 4 tracks of his new album in preview: – If Our Love Is Wrong:
Calum speaks here of forbidden love, transcending, crossing barriers and assuming what some do not find "normal". He talks about his coming out and his choice to claim his homosexuality. 
– Come Back Home : This track was written for his sister to help him overcome a difficult relationship.
– What I Miss Most : A real nostalgic cry where Calum talks about his roots and what he misses terribly when he is away from home. 
– Hotel Room : He tells us here in a poetic way, a sad love story, a personal experience. This song is a real success. Beautiful and touching.

Just before joining us, Calum Scott was recording on the set of Taratata which allowed him to make a nice duet with Barbara Pravi on the title Something Stupid :

We had the pleasure of spending the late afternoon with him. The opportunity to chat, to ask him questions in a small interview, but also to find this simple, natural and very accessible young man.

We then attended a very private acoustic session, in the company of about twenty fans, where Calum Scott performed 3 titles (Rhythm Inside, Dancing On My Own and You Are The Reason). A pure moment of emotion !!

He knew how to keep his spontaneity, his humor and his joie de vivre. Very enthusiastic and available, he was considerate, generous and really very pleasant with us and with his fans who showered him with gifts and surprises. He emerges from this experience touched and fulfilled.
