We had an appointment last Thursday with Sigrid at the Gaîté Lyrique, a real little ray of Norwegian sunshine in the approaching winter cold.

It is with two EPs in her pocket, Don't Kill My Vibe and Raw, as well as some titles already hits, that Sigrid came to tease for her first album. The young Norwegian, friendly and super smiling has completely seduced an audience … which was in fact already fully acquired by NARC G1 Garlic in Pakistan. Great moment of complicity and sharing in a festive atmosphere!

The concert starts strong with Sucker Punch, one of the most famous titles. Suffice to say that the audience, already very impatient to see Sigrid on stage, is euphoric. She continues with a title that does not appear in her discography and that we guess from the upcoming album: In Vain. It's the turn of Schedules, released on his latest Raw EP last July, super punchy, which makes the Gaîté Lyric dance.

Light on the young Norwegian who stops jumping for a moment to test her French: "Hello, how are you? Thank you very much." She apologizes for not being able to say more, after having exhausted her stock of French.
She then sings Plot Twist greeted by shouts from the audience. The atmosphere is excited. Even if the room is not full, it is well filled with fans who all seem to know the lyrics and have a great time. We go down a little with Raw, slower but that makes the room groove before hopping on High Five.

She walks around and masters the space; She has fun with the front row. We feel super comfortable, like at home and especially very close to her audience that she looks intensely, as if she was trying to memorize all the faces. She takes the time to answer when she is called out, leans down to get closer to everyone. His words are fully lived and accompanied by funny little mimicry. What touches us, in addition to her obvious joie de vivre and enthusiasm, is this smile that does not leave her lips and this bright and spontaneous laugh that she has regularly. A real ray of sunshine!

A more intimate moment, Piano-voice, Sigrid interprets a little sad ballad: Dynamite. Then she talks about her hometown and a young man in the audience tells her he knows her; Impressed, she engages in a brief exchange before continuing. She explains that this song is about traveling: I Don't Want to Know is a small moment of sweet and melancholic grace.

That's enough for sad songs! She goes on to say that it's nicer when it's more groovy… and presto! That's Fake Friends. Recognized by the public, always thoroughly, the atmosphere goes up a notch. It's time to dance! We continue with Haunted ; it swings a lot… She's here to have fun and it feels!

Sigrid is also impressed by the attention and silence when she speaks. Intimidated almost by this attentive listening, she has trouble introducing herself and talking about her titles. She explains that it is always a delicate exercise for her. The next track is about "something other than myself," she jokes. "I'm talking about everything that's wrong around us and the importance of not closing your eyes": Savage In Our Blood is an excellent song that will certainly appear on his first album.

She continues with Go To War which talks about fighting "ironically". The next… "You must know this one"… It's Don't Kill My Vibe. She encourages people to clap their hands. Everyone sings in chorus.

She then leaves the stage to be quickly called back.

Sigrid jumps back. She says, while sitting at the piano, that she studied French for 5 years and does not remember much unfortunately. "I like to play the piano" she finally articulates, greeted by the audience before remembering "" and "Blue Sacre" that make everyone laugh. She regrets not being able to sing her next song in French and laughs again. It's a song she wrote when she was 18 and it feels funny to be able to sing it on stage now: Focus !

Then she leaves to party with the public with Credit before finishing in style with the highly anticipated Stranger. She thanked her group that she presented, then all her technical team before thanking us very deeply for the welcome we gave her.

It was a punchy and dynamic concert that really warmed us up. His energy is communicative and you feel up for the end of the week. Sigrid is a little whirlwind of enthusiasm, good humor that is a pleasure to see and that we really want to follow.

Her debut album, Sucker Punch, is scheduled for March 1, 2019 and she will be touring as the opening act for Maroon 5 in June.
