Noucky's picks

Anna LeoneIf You Only

The closer we get to the release of her first EP, Wandered Away, on April 20, the more we discover more about this young Swedish girl with a velvet voice. A little geekette who spent her time between video games and comics, she finally became attached to her mother's guitar to compose her first songs at a very young age. In the pure tradition of Bon Iver, she is part of the revelations 2018 and continues to make a place for herself in the flourishing world of folk. Today, we only have 2 tracks left to discover on his upcoming EP. We also look forward to seeing her on stage. (See here)

LVOEGod Bless The Blue Orange

The Touraine scene continues to surprise us, this time with a completely bouncy hybrid music … A kind of Pychbeatrock as described by the members of LVOE.We love the voice, the composition, the sounds that haunt the song in the background. It's alive and vibrant, it flows by itself and it takes you on board easily. After a few seconds of listening, without realizing it you are completely caught up. We are also very curious to see what it can give on stage and that's good: they will be on May 19 at the Bus Palladium ! To be followed very closely!

NerdyLacrima Rossa

Cheesy. Behind this artist name a little curious for a music that is not (cheesy), hides Baptiste Letertre, a Rennes. After making his first records on his own label, he is for the first time in a hurry at Les Yeux Orange, a very good label whose recruits are full of talent. Lacrima Rossa is a mix of melodious techno, and a synth line that rocks. He mixes in Nantes, go see him! (See  here)

UbikarControl feat. Sylvain Ferlay

Ubikar is an electronic rock trio from Lyon, who share in clip a track of his latest and third album (in pre-order) Veld, financed in crowdfunding. In his song Control, the tone is resolutely rock and dark. It integrates the actor and musician Sylvain Ferlay, who metamorphoses throughout the clip. The clip is dark, but the voice calm and sure of herself, decided without being angry.

Metropolitan Soul MuseumTalon

Their real name is Nick and Filippo, Metropolitan Soul Museum (MSM) seems to have been collecting snippets of electronic sounds from the 80s and 90s for years without them coming across as cheesy. It's full of protrusions, layers, sounds that bounce, collide and respond to each other. It's teeming with sounds of all kinds without being a big mess, it's light and catchy. It's like being back at Warp Records.

TinasheMe So Bad ft. Ty Dolla $ign, French Montana

Tinashe is back with Me So Bad and this time with rappers Ty Dolla $ign and French Montana. Me So Bad is an extremely catchy and sensual song, with a Latin beat very close to Unforgettable by French Montana. It is the third official single from the album Joyride, the joyful side of his mixtape Nightride, which will be released on April 13, 2018. Tinashe unveils hit after hit, with a perfect mix between R'n'B and pop that will surely be present in her album to make us dance and seduce us forever. (See here)

Alex LucasHoney

Honey is the new single by the young Belgian singer-songwriter Alex Lucas, which he produced himself. After Fade Away, Alex Lucas returns with a second title very effective, and perfectly successful. From the top of his 25 years, the young artist reveals a song with pop sounds, finely sublimated by his slightly feminine voice, which he reveals in a very simplistic and refined clip. If there is no album announced for the moment, we hope to find it soon through concerts or via new songs. A word of advice: this new Belgian talent is to listen to and follow closely… (See here)

Lady GagaYour Song

From the album Revamp: Reimagining the songs of Elton John and Bernie Taupin, Lady Gaga offers us an almost acoustic version of Your Song. The album, expected for April 6, is a compilation of Elton John's songs by various great artists such as Coldplay, Sam Smith, Mary J. Blige or Florence + The Machine. A concert has already been given a few days ago, paying tribute to the singer. (See here)

SigridI Don't Want To Know

The very young Sigrid, who comes from Norway, began her career in 2017, releasing the title Don't Kill My Vibe. Small commercial success but great recognition of the profession, which sees in it one of the great voices of the coming years. Moreover, the BBC has just named her talent to follow in 2018. It is therefore certain that her name will come up quite often, and I invite you to discover now I Don't want to Know, Sigrid's latest single. (See here)

Dana WilliamsPreach

Dana Williams is back this week with Preach. Discovered in 2014 in the American show Rising Star, she now works with some beautiful names of the Hip Hop scene. It was on Rejjie Snow's Egyptian Luvr and alongside Aminé that we recently rediscovered it. Preach is a (too short) demonstration of its universe both sound and aesthetic, all in the most springtime of ways. Dana Williams is currently in the middle of preparing her first album, so we advise you to keep your eyes and ears wide open! (See here)
