After his remarkable performances in the show The Artist, and his participation in Julien Doré's concerts, not to mention his singles Dis-moi, portrait, or and then, Joseph Kamel will finally unveil his first EP on June 3rd. An appointment not to be missed in any way!  A deep and emotional voice to sing the origins, ambitions and questions of a singular artist. All through slow but catchy songs, like his acoustic guitar and the electronic instrumental that punctuates the choruses. In his single and then, Joseph Kamel returns to his life as an artist and makes by his questions on this subject. He tells his desire to go all the way and live his passion despite the risk of "wasting his life".  In the same way, the song Vieux mentions the doubts that one can have growing up. Joseph Kamel plunges us back into his head and heart to tell us the difficulty of doing what we really want and not what is expected of us. Cairo, a nonchalant song dedicated to the city where he grew up, the city where he developed his love for music. He tells the story of the sun, the sand, the sea and the sacrifices necessary to build a happier future. He tells of the Egyptian people, who "look like" to him and address him directly by humming in a poignant voice, "I don't want to be far from you". A song that is nostalgic for his hometown, and that immerses the audience in the heart of the singer. To summarize simply Joseph Kamel's first EP, it is a sweet assortment of doubts, feelings and projects, a succession of elements that, once put into songs, draw an authentic portrait of the artist. It's available on June 3rd on all streaming platforms!
