Justfocus met A-vox at Solidays 2017: a brother and sister, the little protégés of Mat Bastard, a French duo with inimitable music that has a future.

Their names are Anthea and Virgil ; they did not imagine that everything would change 2 years ago during the Mainsquare Festival.Today under the wing of the former Skip The Use Mat Bastard, this sibling from the Ardennes skims the festivals and has just returned to the studio to work on their first album.

Their project was born in 2013; on an artistic whim, it was very spontaneously that Anthea and Virgil began to make music together. Since then, from springboard to festival, they have literally melted the former singer of Skip The Use, Mat Bastard who does not leave them. They also regularly invite them to join him on stage to perform the title on which they sing together: More Than Friends.

These two have a dazzling start to their careers and are as electric as their music or the energy of their mentor. Their EP, Resist, released on May 27, 2016 has largely seduced critics and at Justfocus we have completely hooked on this atypical music, indescribable and which really deserves to be discovered live. After opening for Twenty One Pilots and Japan's Miyavi, their fan base has largely exploded, bringing together an eclectic and very varied audience. It is therefore with confidence that Anthea and Virgil were able to walk the Domino stage at Solidays.

We were able to meet them at the end of Sunday. Super affordable and really warm, it's a real moment of complicity that we shared with them. Very committed, they did not fail to recall the causes that are close to their hearts, Solidays being the best place to talk about them on stage.

We are now looking forward to their first album and we hope to see them on stage again soon.
