The59th edition of the Grammy Awards will take place on February 12 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. As every year, "the Oscars of Music" will designate the artists who have marked the year 2016. Retrospective of the categories and artists that will mark this edition…

Beyoncé, announced as the queen of the 2017 ceremony

With 9 nominations, Beyoncé is the artist who is likely to win the most awards (logical…), especially by the range of categories she covers. Approached since the release of the visual album Lemonade as the legitimate winner of the Album of the Year award (flagship category of the Grammy Awards), Beyoncé is also in the running for the best pop performance for her title Hold Up, the song and the title of the year for Formation and especially for the best rock performance (yes rock ) for the song Don't Hurt Yourself, duet and co-written with Jack White of the late The White Stripes.

After this big gender gap, the artists who received the most nominations with a total of 8 are: Drake, Rihanna and Kanye West. Accustomed to the most prestigious awards, only Drake competes for Album of the Year with Views. Chance The Rapper garnered 7 nominations, including Rap Album of the Year with Coloring Book and Rap Song of the Year, Rap Performance of the Year and Rap/Vocals Performance of the Year with No Problem.

Adele followed with 5 nominations including Album of the Year for 25. This category expands with Justin Bieber, first time nominated in the prestigious category for the album Purpose. Country/rock singer Strugill Simpson closes the contenders for album of the year with A Sailor's Guide to Earth.

Expected performances like the messiah and a star presenter…

As usual, the Grammy Awards reserve live performances to make the NRJ Music Awards swoon. If all the greats of music, or almost, have pushed the song at the Grammy Awards ceremony in the previous 58 years, the list of performances may excite more than one … A little more patience!

So that the wait is not eternal, the master of ceremonies has already been unveiled. This is the star presenter/comedian of the moment, the British James Corden, at the initiative of the famous Carpool Karaoke, which enchants as much as it annoys …

But the Grammy Awards are above all 84 categories covering all musical genres from A to Z…
