Elodie Rama unveils her Constellations, a new album with La Chica as guest

Elodie Rama announces the release of her new album Constellations for 03/02/2023 with many guests like the singer La Chica who can be heard on the new single City Blues. The album Constellations was produced, arranged and mixed by Atom of the C2C collective at Arcades Studio and mastered by Blanka at Kasablanka Mastering. Musician, visual artist and radio host, Elodie Rama patiently weaves her dreamlike web and her island poetics between Nantes and Marseille where she lives today. After collaborating with many artists such as Hocus Pocus, Sly Johnson or Baloji, Elodie Rama took off solo with Strange Island, a first chiaroscuro EP released in 2013. Today the singer unveils Letter To A Sister Friend, a song that announces the release of a first album, Constellations, expected for 03/02/2023 at 10:10. City Blues is an immersion in an electronic universe with Trip-Hop, R&B and Soul sounds. The title with its intoxicating melody and warm rhythm, takes us to the body, to the heart, with a comforting bass line. The meeting between the two singers is not trivial and the outcome is at the height of these two exceptional women. The genesis of her new project Constellations is akin to a pulsation, a simple beat carrying her words. New orientation, on the borders of soul and trip hop, between light and darkness, carried by the multiculturalism that defines it: the land of Martinique and Brittany that give birth to it, the Mediterranean that welcomes it, Asia that fascinates it, and Africa that calls it. The bèlè of Eugène Mona, his legendary Martinican ancestor, mingle with the words of Glissant or Saint John Perse and the cosmic soul of the diva Badu. The words are sung in French, English and Creole as the testimony of a Métis culture that is appropriated and perpetuated, together in a constellation of encounters, stories of friendship that become music.
