David Linx, Matteo Pastorino, and Guillaume De Chassy combine their talent and virtuosity on the album On Shoulders We Stand. The pianist, singer and clarinetist delight us with this album off the beaten track which contains transcriptions and vocal adaptations of works by Bach, Chopin, Rachmaninov, Schubert, Mompu, Scriabin, Shostakovich and Ravel. For the album On Shoulders We Stand, the trio decided to put themselves to the test and play with fire. Guillaume de Chassy transcribed for voice themes written for piano by Bach, Chopin, Rachmaninov, Schubert, Mompou, Scriabin, Shostakovich and Ravel. The tightrope walker David Linx, particularly at ease on these scores, lent them his words and takes them beyond virtuosity, with extreme precision. " We're not totally inventing anything; We stand on the shoulders of the great creators who preceded us or those we meet today: musicians, painters, writers … these giants support and inspire us every day ," said David Linx. 
It takes all the mastery of David Linx, an outstanding "Singer-Songwriter", to appropriate these works with such ease. The precision in the writing of the texts and the vocal virtuosity make possible the step aside that the singer succeeds which, no doubt, will confuse more than one here. This music is the mother tongue of Guillaume de Chassy, whose transcriptions open spaces of freedom to the Sardinian clarinetist Matteo Pastorino. The trio will be on November 10, 2022 at the Sunside in Paris and on November 11, 2022 at the Jazz Station in Brussels.
