Caesar Spencer has just unveiled a magnificent tribute to Serge Gainbourg with the title When I Whisper In Your Ear, on which he invites Mareva Galanter for an old-fashioned pop and sensual duet. Caesar Spencer announces the release of his new baroque pop album Get Out Into Yourself, scheduled for April 28, 2023. With this record, the Anglo-Swedish musician delivers a true declaration of love to the France and surrounds himself with guests of choice: Jacqueline Taïeb, Jo Wedin, Jean Felzine, Mareva Galanter, but also Gilles Tandy of the cult punk band, the Olivensteins. Inspired by Gainsbourg, Scott Walker, Jacno Lee Hazlewood or Pete Doherty, the English musician Caesar Spencer dedicates this record to the France. The duets offer the best of English and French pop. Englishman born in Peru, Caesar Spencer is also Swedish, and has lived in France for many years. " I wanted to capture the essence of a Gainsbourg song in English ," Caesar says. " A lot of people have tried, but I think very few have really managed to do it ." To realize his vision, Get Out Into Yourself has been refined with the help of his formidable backing band which includes Fred Lafage (Tony Allen, Paris Dernier) on guitars / bass / keyboards and Frantxoa Erreçarret (Askehoug, Barcella) on drums.
