Next Saturday, The Peacock Society takes possession of the Parc Floral de Paris, in the Bois de Vincennes, for its first winter edition. Let's take a look back at the one-night program that promises to be #BOUILLANT.
Usually, it is in July that we go dancing in the hangars of the Floral Park. But why would festival necessarily rhyme with summer? As in music the winter break has no place to be, here we see here and there special editions of big Parisian events. Enough to warm up a little while waiting for summer.
On January 30, it is at the Peacock Society that we will be able to take our weekly dose of music.
A sharp program, between house and techno
One night and three dancefloors, divided between the warehouse and the club. There will be something for everyone and it will be necessary to be organized not to miss a note. The timetable has not yet been revealed but if we had to make choices already, our heart would advise you to travel with Daniel Avery and Rrose, take off with Levon Vincent, Danny Daze and Matrixxman, touch the stars with Clouds live and dance with Theo Parrish and Motor City Drum Ensemble.
A festival for older children
Because we do not want to grow up and the collective We Love Green has understood it, this edition of the Peacock Society should amaze us. Between actions in the field and communication on social networks, the team makes our mouths water. Balloons, lots of balloons, posters looking like gifts or candy and cards with the effigy of DJs to find and collect. Enough to raise impatience as it should until the fateful date.
To dress the site of the Parc Floral, we can count on the talents of the collective Franz & Fritz who will take care of the scenography of the place. Already in charge of the 2013 and 2014 Peacocks, we also owe them the visual architecture of the lives of Rone, The Do and Gesaffelstein, among others.There is no doubt that the result will live up to the expectations of the big kids that we are.
Instructive, cashless and eco-responsible
For the first time, The Peacock Society will offer a space for screenings and exchanges. Between the broadcast of clips and documentaries, conferences and discussions around electronic music, exchanges with artists before their set, it is a rich night that is announced, culturally speaking.
Another novelty for this winter edition is the implementation of the cashless system, already adopted by many other festivals. The best way to avoid traffic and loss of money during the evening, these rechargeable cards are much more convenient to manage and generally allow better fluidity at bars. The other significant point of the organization is obviously its eco-responsible policy, inherited from the We Love Green festival, with waste sorting, recycling and dry toilets.
