Blossoms was at La Boule Noire on October 24th to give their first concert in Paris as a headliner as part of their tour.
Blossoms is our 2016 revelation. This British band from Stockport consists of Tom Ogden, Charlie Salt, Josh Dewhurst Joe Donovan and Myles Kellock. They released their first album at the beginning of August and following that they announced their European tour which notably passed in Paris on October 24, 2016 at the Boule Noire. It was their first concert in Paris as a headliner and lucky that we are we were present, so we will tell you everything!
Bigger, the revelation as the first part!
Bigger is a rock band from the Jura composed of Damien Felix, Kevin Twomey, Benjamin Muller, Antoine Passard and Mile Prenat. They were able to charm the audience with songs with catchy choruses, very nice melodies and a singer who gave everything on stage. We hope to see them again soon, in the meantime do not hesitate to listen to their first EP available on their official website.
The long-awaited arrival of Blossoms on stage!
The lights go out, the stage lights up, the audience present that evening at the Boule Noire expresses its excitement with a few shouts: that's it Blossoms arrives on stage and greets the audience! The band members set the tone for the concert: energetic starting with Blow ! Besides, we can see the crowd dancing and having fun from the first notes and it's a pleasure!
The concert continues with Texia, At Most a Kiss, Honey Sweet, Smashed Pianos, Across The Moor and the audience is still receptive! Then come two of their singles: Getaway and Blown Rose and what a pleasure to see an audience singing the choruses and who obviously have a wonderful time!
Then comes the ballad of the album: My Favourite Room, the singer Tom Ogden grabs his guitar and begins to bewitch the room of the Black Ball. Of course it will be accompanied by the songs of some people from the audience. Then the other members of the band come to participate in the songs : some guitar riffs by Josh Dewhurst, drums with Joe Donovan, piano with Myles Kellock and Charlie Salt for bass. The result is splendid.
Unfortunately all good things have an end and this is how thesinger announces that there are only 3 pieces left, obviously it is a general "no" that he will have as an answer. But he reassures them that he had a pleasant evening and that they will come back soon. Thus Blossoms will end his concert with Cut Me And I'll Bleed, Deep Grass and their famous Charlemagne.
In summary, Blossoms has charmed the Black Ball with an effective setlist, an energy on stage of their own. Besides, we can't wait to see them again on the occasion of Jake Bugg's concert on November 7th, indeed they have been announced as the first part!
