Wednesday evening, April 5th, the Empreinte welcomed TEXTURES for a crazy concert, JustFocus returns to this event heavy in sound and emotion.

It was Think of A New Kind that opened the ball if I dare say

Has.K.A T.Has.N.K (that makes acronyms!), a French melodic death/trash metal band. From the first notes, we are immediately in the mood. Drum speeds to revive the dead, mesmerizing guitar notes, all on a mastered and melodious voice power. The night couldn't have started any better.

Then it's Uneven Structure 's turn to take over

Another French band (let's be proud!) of progressive metal. There, the atmosphere is softer, more intimate, almost sensual. The notes and voices take on lightness while mingling with a calm force, perfect symbiosis between the iron hand and its velvet glove. We almost want to close our eyes and let ourselves be fully carried away in their universe.

And finally, under shouts and applause, TEXTURES makes its entrance on stage

The Dutch mathcore/progressive metal band directly ignites the audience as soon as they arrive. A few words in French for the occasion, the rest of the show will be punctuated by dialogues with the audience in perfect English. A really warm atmosphere that puts a smile on our faces with each song. The room trembles, the audience is in a trance, we shout to lose our voice and burn our hands under the applause. Tomorrow does not matter, only what we share there with them counts. The music follows one another and, with them, the emotions. A blink of an eyelash and now they leave the stage, already? And yet yes, we did not see the time pass… But the room remains dark. It is then that Uri Dijk steps alone on stage and, in the most total and illuminated silence of a single spot, begins to tap a few notes. We are conquered. It is only after a few minutes that the rest of the band joins him in dribs and drabs, to add a new instrument to the music. Timeless. The last song of the album Phenotype. A magical gift in a cozy atmosphere for a magical return. A few songs later, the concert unfortunately comes to an end and all the members gather to thank us, with a smile on their faces. Daniël de Jongh will come, moved, to shake hands with the entire front row. The band even gave us the gift of their full presence after the concert to discuss and take pictures, all in "casual mode", far from the usual autograph tables. A touching gesture for a group that is just as touching.

In short, if you do not know these bands, do not hesitate for a moment to discover / support them and, if you have the opportunity, to go see them on stage! It's definitely worth it.
