AVBE unveils its new single, Where I Go, on which it is accompanied by singer Sam H. To discover in selection JustFocus The guitarist who introduces himself under the name AVBE, and who we must pronounce Aube, returns to us in October with the EP Dawn, of which we can already listen to a nice extract Where I Go. "This EP is the reflection, the statement of my passage. It's the root, the essence, it's me, it's you. And I waited for days listening and silently feeling the contractions and movements under my skin. It was time to document all this. It's the most honest version of myself to date," explained Raphael Olivier, in the preamble to the launch. In his EP, AVBE shows his taste for electronics and folk. His music evokes folktronica artists like Bon Iver, Sufjan Stevens or Asgeir. Showcasing his love for folk, pop and electro, Raphael wrote his first lyrics on original compositions, and slowly built what would become his aesthetic: dreamy guitars, electro drums, airy synths and introspective lyrics. "Through this journey come emotions and moments. This is one of them. AVBE is Raphael, dawn is what you really want. I am your lover, friend, brother. And I am simply the passage, the means," explained the singer. Note that the Ep that we can discover in October contains six tracks and brings together many guests: Sam H. (vocals), Sense (production), Calypso Valois (vocals), Sylvain Beuf (saxophone), Isabelle Olivier (harp), and David Paycha (drums). Last info, the EP was mixed in Los Angeles by Grammy-nominated engineer Jesse Ray Ernster (Kanye West, Burna Boy).
