Alias has provided us with high quality programming for the start of the school year and we prefer to warn you right away so that you do not miss out! That's enough to fill your concert agenda.

Then… Yes you are certainly still on the beach (for the lucky ones) or maybe still at work and talking about back to school is never very cheerful… But this is what to sublimate this reunion with the Parisian bitumen. Because what better than to resume the rhythm with music and outputs full of good vibes!

Fortunately Alias has thought of everything and the concerts scheduled for the start of the school year delighted us to the point that it was absolutely necessary that we share them with you. Do you have a pen? An agenda at your fingertips? So here we go:

GOLD CLASS

A post-punk band that comes straight from Australia with energy to spare. Halfway between Joy Division and White Lies, this band of merry roublards is led in a baritone voice by the charismatic and very committed Adam Curley. Their first album It's You, released 2 years ago, was recorded in 4 days. A dark musical performance where the tension is palpable permanently. Drum, their new album, is scheduled for August 18 and promises to be a little less challenging but just as intense.

They will be in concert on September 18th at the Pop Up du Label!

BLACK HONEY

Indie pop… Do you want some? That's it! This English quartet reminds us a lot of the throbbing and nonchalant rock of the 60s. Their titles make us terribly want to dance and this retro, super sexy sound is totally irresistible. We flirt with the garage and shoegaze. A few EPs and Singles to their credit, but make no mistake… Their music is totally addictive! All you have to do is discover them live and there you have the choice:

They will be on September 19th at Supersonic for the 5th anniversary of SoB!
If you ever miss them, you can catch up on November 9th at the Zenith in Paris where they will open for Royal Blood !

EVERYTHING EVERYTHING

What better way to make you want to see them, than to offer you a live excerpt. A Fever Dream is the title that also gives its name to their latest album. A soaring ballad and a reverie between rock and electro. These four Englishmen have discovered a perfect and very elaborate sound combination… An atypical musical field. The characteristic voice of Jonathan Higgs contributes greatly to this experience and the percussive rhythms give power to the whole. Their new album, A Fever Dream, is released on August 18.

They will be in concert on September 21st at La Maroquinerie!

JFDR

Jófríður Ákadóttir is one of the discoveries of the last edition of Femmes s'en Mêlent. JFDR is his solo project. Once again, we are totally enchanted by these Icelandic artists whose productions are always of incomparable quality. It must be said that Jófríður Ákadóttir is not her first project: she is part of the female duo Pascal Pinon and the group Samaris. At 22, she is an inspiration for Björk and one of the main revelations of Iceland Airwaves 2016 in Reykjavik. His album Brazil, is already available.

She will be in concert on September 30th at Pop Up de Label!

YAN WAGNER

We change register and we move to an elective pop artist in the vein of what is done a lot at the moment. Very 80s sound, machines, synths, a crooner's voice for a change. We recognize the Bowie inspiration, a little Depeche Mode too, can be a hint of distant disco in the rhythm. This is a concert that is likely to make more than one dance. Take out your colorful outfits and let yourself be blinded by the spotlights. The album This Never Happened was released on September 1.

He will be in concert on October 10 at La Boule Noire and on tour!

ALEJANDRA RIBERA

A little folk now with a voice a little rough and caressing at the same time. Alejandra Ribera was noticed in 2014 with the release of her first album La Boca. Since then, she has continued to compose and write, seeking to get as close as possible to the light: whether mythological, physical, spiritual or human, the light illuminates her titles that sparkle like small moments of happiness to share. His new album, This Island, is eagerly awaited for September 22.

She will be in concert on October 11 at the New Morning!

BNQT

Take Midlake and Alex Kapranos from Franz Ferdinand, Jason Lytle from Grandaddy, Ben Bridwell from Band Of Horses, Fran Healy from Travis, and you get BNQT, a royal, fresh, modern and hook pop rock band. It must be admitted that the composition of the group already makes many fans of English music shudder. A pure joy to see these talented musicians together. The result lives up to our expectations. The album Volume 1 is already available and we are waiting for them live.

They will be in concert on October 30th at the Bataclan!

WARHAUS

Maarten Devoldere, the singer of the band Balthazar, has embarked on a new solo project: Warhaus. His first album, We Fucked A Flame Into Being, released in September 2016, had appealed to critics and since then we follow this Flemish with particular interest. With a timbre of voice that curiously approaches that of Leonard Cohen, one can only be seduced by his mysterious and sensual music. We also fell for his latest title, Love's a Stranger.

He will be in concert on November 8th at La Maroquinerie and on tour!

BENJAMIN BOOKER

Let's finish this programming with a touch of blues, a style that could not be more explored and that is difficult to tackle without falling into the pitfalls of banality. Well we can say that the young Benjamin Booker has managed to pull out of the game: a beautiful deep and rocky voice, a bit rock without being aggressive, a drums that mark the times without being violent, aerial arrangements, a melody that floats and penetrates you like a ritornelle that we keep in mind. We think a little of Junius Meyvant. Witness, his new album, is already available.

He will be in concert on November 10 at La Maroquinerie
