The casting is revealed over the weeks and Pedro Pascal is well and truly confirmed. He played Maxwell Lord in Wonder Woman 1984. The first part having broken all box office records, it was obvious that there would be a sequel.
In particular, it helped to establish Gal Gadot's place as the figurehead of the DCEU. This film will mark the return of the collaboration between Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins. A most surprising return is that of Chris Pine (Steve Trevor), announced a few weeks ago in photo.
Many debates take place as to the place of Chris Pine in this new opus although he died at the end of Wonder Woman. Some fan theories support the fact that he can play a member of his family. New revelations have recently been made. He would be closely related to the character of Pedro Pascal, who is rumored to be a god in disguise.
This hypothesis has not been validated by the production, it seems that he plays a villain who occupies a large place in the DC universe.
SuperbroMovies were the first to confirm this new theory. Pedro Pascal will play a powerful businessman (character already seen in the comics)
Maxwell Lord was first introduced in 1987, it was a character who was at the service of a computer created by Metron. He had some influence in the creation of the Justice League. He even thought for a period of time about taking control of it. This character acquired his superpowers during the Invasion, a version of the story where he has the power to control the minds of others. More recently he is the leader of Task Force X. Its history over the last 30 years is rather vague. Her previous adventures will, it seems, have no impact in the movie Wonder Woman 1984.
Patty Jenkins took liberties with comics and decided to make it a businessman. One question remains: how is he involved in Steve Trevor's resurrection?
