Jack London's famous creation returns to the big screen once again. After the film that revealed Ethan Hawke in the early 90s, it will be this time in the form of an animated film that White Fang will return.

The project will be released in theaters on March 28, 2018. It was distributed by Wild Bunch in France.

The boss of Superprod, Clément Calvet, spoke about this project whose origins go back several years:

"This novel is a political film, which questions human nature. It is a metaphor for man, who does not come into the world by nature violent but who can become so in a hostile environment. But he also tells us that if we reach out to him, he can become more human again."

At the helm of this project, an Oscar-winning artist for a short film, the Luxembourger Alexandre Espigares. The film is 3D and it mixes motion capture and key frame.

Here is the synopsis:

White Fang is a proud and courageous wolf dog.
After growing up in the snowy and hostile spaces of the Far North, he is taken in by Castor-Gris and his Indian tribe. But the wickedness of men forces Castor-Gris to give the animal to a cruel and malicious man.
Saved by a fair and good couple, White Fang will learn to master his wild instincts and become their friend.

The film premiered at the Sundance film.
