While the death toll continues to rise in the United States, the police of Crowley, a small town in Louisiana, have found a sinister way to enforce the curfew time… Namely the siren of the horror film The Purge (American Nightmare). As shown in a KATC-TV video taken last weekend, the alarm that sounds in the streets of the city at curfew time is the one heard in the dystopian horror movies American Nightmare or The Purge. Back on the synopsis of the first part signed James DeMonaco, released in August 2013. The story takes place in the near future. The reborn United States is led by the New Founding Fathers. To maintain a low unemployment and crime rate throughout the year, the government has implemented an annual period of twelve consecutive hours, during which all criminal activity is permitted. This night, called "the Purge", allows everyone to evacuate their negative emotions by settling scores, or more simply by indulging in gratuitous violence. Thus, at 9 p.m. sharp, the tens of thousands of inhabitants had the unfortunate surprise to hear the agonizing alarm sounding in the streets of the city. And the least we can say is that these inhabitants did not appreciate this disturbing and dramatic atmosphere at all… Indeed, they decided to touch a word at the Crowley Police Department. Its leader, Jimmy Broussard, said he did not know that the alarm in question was fired from the film. And following numerous complaints from residents, the police decided to stop using sirens to warn the population of the curfew.
