One of the most beautiful works adapted at the end of the year will undoubtedly be Todd Haynes' next film, The Museum of Wonders. The film is based on the novel by Brian Selznick (Hugo Cabret) and will be released in French cinemas on November 15, 2017.

Professional critics have no shortage of superlatives to describe The Museum of Wonders. The film was one of the nice surprises of the last edition of the festival even if it did not win any awards.

The Museum of Wonders plunges us through two eras

We follow through this beautiful story two deaf children played by Oakes Fegley and Millicent Simmonds (for the first time on screen, and truly deaf in life). Although living in two distinct eras, our two heroes will live a great adventure. The timelines are differentiated by black and white on one side, colors on the other. Two great actresses, Michelle Williams and Julianne Moore, mentor our young protagonists.

Like Hugo Cabret adapted to the cinema by the great Martin Scorsese, the film should have its share of magical moments and will certainly be one of the most beautiful adventures of this end of the year.

As a reminder, the World Day of the Deaf will take place on Saturday, September 23. The trailer is presented by the 3 young heroes of the film. We hope that the young Millicent will have a great career thanks to her very beautiful performance in The Museum of Wonders.
