The famous film producer and former companion of actress Liz Hurley, Steve Bing would have committed suicide by falling from a building of 27 floors. He was 55 years old.
The father of a child with actress Elizabeth Hurley, fell from the 27th floor of a luxury building in the Century City neighborhood of Los Angeles, according to TMZ, which cites anonymous judicial sources. According to the American site, Steve Bing suffered from depression and committed suicide. Confirmation from the producer's entourage could not immediately be obtained. The Los Angeles police, questioned by the French agency, confirmed the death of a man in his fifties at the same place, without however revealing, for legal reasons, his identity. His son, Damien Hurley, in shock paid tribute to him on Instagram :
" Thank you all from the bottom of my heart to those who wrote to me after this devastating news was announced. I try to answer as many of you as possible, but even if I don't, please remember that I will always remember your kindness. This time is particularly strange and confusing and I am beyond grateful to be surrounded by phenomenal family and friends."

Steve Bing: The Man Who Invested in The Polar Express
Producer of films such as Get Carter by Sylvester Stallone or Shine a light, a musical documentary by Martin Scorsese, Steve Bing also co-wrote a comedy, Kangaroo Jack in 2003. He rose to fame after investing $80 million in the 2004 animated film The Polar Express. This film eventually grossed more than $300 million worldwide. A real estate developer, he was also a philanthropist and friend of former President Bill Clinton to whom he lent his personal plane for a mission in 2009 in North Korea, intended to free two American journalists. Steve Bing is survived by two children: Damian, son of American actress Elizabeth Hurley, and Kira, daughter of former tennis champion Lisa Bonder.
