Finally! Here she comes! The adaptation of the eponymous comic book arrives on our screens for the All Saints' Day holidays! Thrills and strong emotions guaranteed in Zombillénium which will be inaugurated on October 18th.
The wait had gone on too long. Since 2013 and a premonitory music video of Skip The Use, Gretchen Webb had disappeared from our screens (on her broom/skateboard). We will have the pleasure of finding her in the dark rooms with her colleagues from the particular amusement park. Zombillénium is here the adaptation of the first volume of the comic book series by Arthur de Pins. The French cartoonist is also the author of Péchés Mignons (a saga in 4 volumes on sexuality), and the March of the Crab in three volumes (adapted for the screen by himself). De Pins also created the animated series Magic broadcast in 2008 on France 3, Gulli, Disney Channel and whose atypical universe has aroused the desires of the whole world. A second season is planned.
Zombillénium depicts the daily life of an amusement park and its strange employees. It is not uncommon to come across a mummy who makes barbapapas or a werewolf director of human resources! The film was first presented at the 70th Cannes Film Festival in an unusual and eventful screening. The adaptation seems to take up the story of Aurélien Zahner and his enlistment in the park. However, we expect a softer and more family work. Indeed, comics address complex themes such as slavery or the contemporary business world. Note that the co-director of the film, Alexis Ducord, worked on Avril and the Rigged World of Tardi released in 2015.
