Star Wars 8, renamed The Last Jedi, remains quite discreet for the moment. The interpreter of one of the most cult characters of the saga confided in our colleagues of Variety on his possible return.
Frank Oz, the official voice of Yoda, since Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back, spoke to Variety about the possible return of his character within the saga. The interpreter remained very discreet, forced to remain silent because of confidentiality clauses signed with LucasFilm and Disney. However, he seems to have made a hidden admission about a potential return in The Last Jedi, eighth installment of the saga directed by Rian Johnson (Looper).
"I feel a bit like a prisoner of war there, I can just state my identity. I have been asked not to reveal anything on this subject. I love Yoda and I'd love to talk about it when I'm given permission."
Hypotheses are rife with overexcited fans who fantasize about the return of the green master. If the return of the Jedi is one day confirmed, it will not be necessary to ignite, the character may only appear in the form of a hologram, or even a simple voice.
The character was probably present at the first cut of The Force Awakens before being cut in the final rendering. Star Wars 8 feeds fantasies while the future of the saga remains unclear since the death of Carrie Fisher.
