Star Wars VIII will be called Star Wars…

Don't call it Star Wars VIII anymore since Rian Johnson's movie is now called Star Wars: The Last Jedi

After months of rumors, Rian Johnson (the director) and Lucasfilm have finally lifted the veil on one of the best kept secrets of the new installment of the Star Wars saga: its title!

Star-Wars-VIII

And this one already reveals a lot… Indeed, if we knew at the end of The Force Awakens that Luke Skywalker was the last guarantor of the Order and that he had helped ensure its survival by his Jedi School (ransacked by Ben Solo aka Kylo Ren), this title clearly suggests that his legacy is in jeopardy. The font, faithful to the credo of the saga, is indeed struck with a blood red, as if to better indicate the tone of this part, which according to John Boyega (Finn) will be darker than The Force Awakens. Of course, it is still too early to determine the degree of violence, but given the statements from the actors invested in the project and the disappearance of Princess Leia, there is no doubt that this episode will be a turning point in this new Disney saga.

May the force be with them!

Star Wars: The Last Jedi will hit screens on December 15
