20th Century Fox has announced the start of work on an action movie featuring the character of Stan Lee.As a reminder Stan Lee is the creator of Marvel and many characters well known today to the general public. With his friend Jack Kirby he laid the foundations of the Marvel world we know today.
According to The Hollywood Reporter 20th Century Fox has acquired the rights to the cartoonist's life. The studio should not make a full-fledged biopic, but embark on an action comedy set in the 70s close to the spirit of Kingsman and Roger Moore's James Bond.
Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey, who have worked on Twilight, The Labyrinth and the upcoming Power Rangers reboot, will be the producers of this readaptation of Stan Lee's life. The Hollywood Reporter also claims that the feature film will feature elegant, charming, large-repartee heroes, characteristics quite close to Stan Lee's cameos. It now remains to be seen who will direct the film and who will offer his features to embody Stan Lee, because it is difficult to see the artist interpreting his own role at 94 years old, but who knows maybe that he will make his own little cameo. In any case Stan the Man did not express himself on this comical idea. Case to follow then.
As for the next Marvel to come to the cinema it is Doctor Strange scheduled for October 26.
