J.K. Simmons, the actor who played J. Jonah Jameson in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man movies, has revealed that he has signed with the Marvel Cinematic Universe for several films. The character of Spider-Man is one of the most beloved superheroes by fans of the Marvel Universe. An ongoing project plans to reunite Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, the last three Spider-Man on screen. In addition, another well-known character is making headlines. Indeed, J.K . Simmons, the actor known for his role in Whiplash, but especially for his portrayal of J..Jonah Jameson, the tyrannical editor of the Daily Bugle, promises that he should soon be seen on screen. We had been able to discover in the cinema with Spider-Man – Far From Home that J.K. Simmons reprised his role as J. Jonah Jameson.

Good news for fans of the character!The actor explained during a recent interview that the contract he signed to reprise the role of Jameson will involve several films. However, he also explains that his return is not certain. Indeed, it all depends on the studios' desires to include or not his character on screen again. Fans can only rejoice at the return of this iconic character, given the perfect embodiment of the character proposed by the actor.

"When we signed for the first film, the contract also included two sequels. Which in my case was a one-way contract, that is, I am obliged to comply with it, but they are not obliged to use my character in future films."

Meanwhile, the actor revealed that he has signed on for four more appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The next Spider-Man movie is originally scheduled for a theatrical release on November 5, 2021. Nevertheless, the date could be changed, since filming has been interrupted by the global health crisis.
