Don't worry, Star Wars IV is indeed the direct sequel to Rogue One.
But the Star Wars universe is an infinitely expanded universe. Indeed after the first trilogy, comics imagined a sequel where Luke Skywalker momentarily joined the empire, making us believe that he had sunk to the dark side… Today, we learn that a new story is added to the many others.That of the Inferno Squad, sequel to Rogue One.The book will tell the story of a troop of elite soldiers, who will infiltrate and kill the last followers of the famous Saw Garrera. The bounty hunter may be dead, but many are still fighting on his behalf.
So don't worry, Inferno Squad won't be an alternative sequel to Rogue One that could replace A New Hope. The book will rather be on the side of the empire to tell a different story on the same moment with new characters.
The book will be released in the United States on July 25. No French date yet communicated. The DVD, Blu-Ray, Blu-Ray 3D of Rogue One would be released on April 28.
