Project Azorian , or Project Jennifer, as the CIA called it, aimed to recover the wreckage of a Soviet submarine, K-129, which disappeared in the Pacific Ocean in 1968. In the midst of the Cold War, the Americans hoped that this submarine would contain important information that would give them the advantage over the communist enemies. To carry out this very complex and secretive operation, the secret services called on the help of Howard Hughes, a billionaire. The businessman was to retrieve the submarine and deliver it to the CIA. The recovery operation was not a great success. This is the story told by David H. Sharp in his book, a story that will soon be adapted to the cinema. Variety magazine exclusively revealed the name of the screenwriter, David Collard. The film is produced by Scott and Kevin Walsh (Scott Free), Christopher Simon (New Sparta) and Maggie Monteith (Dignity Film Finance).
