5 years after the release of the first Pacific Rim film, Pacific Rim Uprising is released in theaters this Wednesday, March 21 causing the enthusiasm of fans. In this sequel, it is not Charlie Hunnam who will be the main hero of this sequel to Pacific Rim but John Boyega who plays Jake Pentecost, the son of the late hero Stacker Pentecost. A talented young offender who has dropped out of his Jaeger pilot training, Jake will be able to prove his worth to everyone in the face of a new threat even greater than the previous one. Accompanied by his rival Nate (Scott Eastwood) and promising new recruit Amara (Cailee Spaeny), our heroes will have to save the world.

A risky but successful casting

With its many young actors, Pacific Rim Uprising has undertaken a risky bet especially with Cailee Spaeny in the role of Amara Namani. Indeed, this young actress had not played in any film before, but her performance as a resourceful young girl suggests a flourishing future for the actress. It is especially with the actor John Boyega that the production is strong, the actor is a rising star thanks to his role of Finn in Star Wars 7 and 8.

He perfectly plays his role as a rebellious and egocentric young independent while adding a humorous tone of his own. In addition, the association of the actor with Scott Eastwood is a success, the two actors succeed wonderfully to create a relationship of rivalry / friendship. The characters played by Charlie Day and Brun Gorman in the first film are also at the rendezvous in this sequel keeping their image of zany and passionate scientists.

Dynamic combat that fills any scenario

Unlike the first film, in Pacific Rim Uprising the context is intended to be a world of peace where the Jaegers are no longer essential to the survival of the world. The alien threat is still present, as the kaijus' goal has still not been found.

It is with this in mind that humans seek to improve their technologies to be able to face the Kaijus when the time comes, necessarily anticipating epic confrontations. Finally, the film will be a series of fights more impressive than each other, resulting in epic passages as well as a massive destruction of the environment surrounding the battles. The film leaves no time to get bored, the fights are immersive, dynamic and the use of special effects gives a beautiful rendering. The scenario remains quite simple and somewhat similar to the first film which gives a very pleasant and entertaining entertainment but remains a little bland and repetitive in its scenario.

Pacific Rim Uprising is a feature film that is pleasant to watch, it is a blockbuster that transports us into its world, which exalts us with its grandiose visuals and fabulous battle scenes. A movie that should appeal to science fiction fans!
