Last Friday, to the delight of fans, the trailer for the next Steven Spielberg was unveiled. Ready Player One will hit theaters on March 28.A mysterious quest in the heart of a parallel universe put into images by the Oscar-winning director who wishes, it seems, to occupy the screen, just two months after the release of his latest film Pentagon Papers.Adaptation of the eponymous novel by Ernest Cline, the science fiction film Ready Player One is not yet on the bill that it already takes the colors of a future franchise.

A sequel in progress

The author of the work revealed during an interview for Première, that he was already working on the rest of the story. If the success in the theater is there, it may be that Ready Player One becomes a real franchise.A sequel that Ernest Clint had already thought about, in case the book sold well. But he had not imagined that his universe would end up on the big screen and what's more, under the direction of Steven Spielberg!

With or without Spielberg

If he has not yet signed anything concerning the realization of a possible sequel, the director of Jurassic Park, has not opposed to continue his work on the parallel world created by Ernest Cline. He just replied to the latter:

"Let me finish this movie already. »

Nevertheless, in the event that Steven Spielberg refuses to continue the adventure, the author is not worried. If the director set the bar very high, in Cline's own words, he also accomplished the hardest. The codes, the universe and the angle of the adaptation are constructed, leaving a solid guideline to a possible successor.

Success in theaters will be decisive for this desire for franchise to become reality. In the meantime, the trailer of the film worn by Tye Sheridan and Olivia Cook promises rhythm, mystery and action for March 28.
