Les Garçons et Guillaume, at the table! by Guillaume Gallienne
"The first memory I have of my mother is when I was four or five years old. She calls my two brothers and me for dinner saying: "The boys and Guillaume, at the table!" and the last time I spoke to her on the phone, she hung up and said, "I kiss you, my dear"; well let's say that between these two sentences, there are some misunderstandings.", here is how Guillaume Gallienne, author, director and actor of the film describes this work inspired to the marrow of his life in a family that has never ceased to consider him homosexual. Funny, touching, intimate, Les Garçons and Guillaume, at the table! is a personal introspection, which received 15 awards and 7 nominations after its theatrical release in 2013.Already available on Netflix since October 1, 2017.
Woody Allen's Magic in the Moonlight
The film, released in 2014, tells the mystical adventures of a famous English conjurer – Wei Ling so on stage and Stanley Crawford in the city – and a young woman involved in the occult arts. The first, arrogant and self-confident, does not support those who claim to read the future and is convinced that they are all charlatans. The second is an alleged medium. Between the two, the meeting will first be most stormy, before gradually leaving room for doubt in the mind of this claimed Cartesian…
On the bill, a three-star cast including Colin Firth, Emma Stone and Marcia Gay Harden. If we can not hide that Magic in the Moonlight is not the best Woody Allen, it should appeal to lovers of divinatory arts, mysticism and a poetic and magical philosophy of encounters, love and life. To be found on Netflix from October 21st.
The Ghost Writer, Roman Polanski
A successful Negro-writer, nicknamed "The Ghost", is hired to finish writing the memoirs of Adam Lang, former British Prime Minister. But from the start, a shadow seems to hang over the reason for the death of the previous editor in charge of the manuscript.
Directed in 2010 by Roman Polanski, The Ghost Writer has a shock cast, including Ewan McGregor, Pierce Brosnan and Kim Cattrall on the bill. The film, winner of 14 awards, is already available since October 1 on the American platform.
