Do you know where the world's only copy of the Chucky doll is? Of course at the Museum of Miniature and Cinema in Lyon!
Recently, five rare and unique pieces have been added to the museum's permanent collection: the costumes of Hellboy, Batman Forever, Robocop, Spider-Man, as well as that of Horus in Stargate. These new acquisitions were possible thanks to a lot of investigative work on the part of Laurie Courbier to gather the elements of the original costumes, scattered around the world. From there, the creator of the museum, Dan Ohlmann, assisted by his technical experts, was able to embark on the restoration of these five mythical costumes of the seventh art.
It has been a long task. For Hellboy's outfit, it took the museum 200 hours, as well as new facial prostheses, hairpieces and a custom-made animatronic tail, to make it look like new.The make-up took ten hours. The Batman costume required 150 hours of work. As for Robocop's neoprene and resin armor, it was worn by Peter Weller himself.
For the most curious, find all these novelties at the Museum of Miniature and Cinema in Lyon, at 60, rue Saint-Jean!
