At the last edition of the Cannes Film Festival, the atypical Woody Allen told the media Deadline that he had committed to producing a series for the Amazon platform.In a very interesting interview given during the promotion of his latest feature film, The Irrational Man, he confessed that he did not even know what a streaming service is. Being out of his comfort zone causes him great anxiety. The announcement of the possible arrival of singer Miley Cyrus in this first foray of the director into the middle of the small screen is rather intriguing.
It was again Deadline that revealed this unexpected information. Miley Cyrus would join Elaine May with whom Woody Allen has already had the opportunity to work. We could see the music star in the series My Uncle Charlie and more recently in the film broadcast on Netflix: A Very Murray Christmas… It will be interesting to see how a filmmaker of Woody Allen's caliber gets the best out of a young celebrity as special as Miley Cyrus.
