Mark Mylod, who directed four episodes of the final season of Succession, is reportedly in negotiations to direct The Menu.

Adam McKay and Mark Mylod are names that won't necessarily tell you much. And yet, these are two well-known directors in the US. The former wrote mostly comedies, such as his first directorial film Featured Presenter: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, and later in Very Bad Cops. But that's not all. In 2015, he directed a film much more dramatic and that will be talked about. The Big Short: The Heist of the Century is also his first film without actor Will Ferrell. It highlights the 2008 financial crisis that affected the United States and the entire world. In this film, Ryan Gosling, Christian Bale and Brad Pitt are reunited . It was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Director and won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. 
As for his colleague the British Mark Mylod, he is best known for his production of several episodes of the series Shameless. He also directed episodes of the majestic series Game Of Thrones. The two directors are not unknown to each other. Indeed, Adam McKay and Mark Mylod both directed episodes of the series Succesion. So they know each other and will potentially work together in the next movie The Menu.
The Menu : a psychological thriller
The movie The Menu is a dark and comic psychological thriller. It will take place in the world of cooking. A young couple has the chance to visit a restaurant on a remote island, where a renowned chef has prepared a sumptuous tasting menu for them… According to Hollywood Reporter, McKay will produce the film through his company Hyperobject Industries and will be joined by his partner Betsy Koch for production. Will Tracy and Seth Reiss wrote the script. 
The film originally had Alexander Payne as director, and Emma Stone and Ralph Fiennes as actors. Planning conflicts forced members to leave the project. Following this, McKay reportedly asked Mylod to join him in his project. Other projects are in sight for McKay, including a comedy (which remains his favorite field) with Jennifer Lawrence. Its name: Don't Look Up. The filmmaker who had taken a break of two years seems ready to resume his duties!
