Entertainment lovers are certainly eagerly awaiting the blockbuster Avengers or Ready Player One, Steven Spielberg's next film that should become a reference in the world of popular culture. However, a more discreet but equally interesting outing will be to watch, the island of dogs.

An interesting anecdote to know about Wes Anderson, this atypical director of the seventh art, is that he has an excellent knowledge of French cinema. So he decided by himself actors and actresses from France who would dub the characters of the film. Here's this particularly impressive list:

ISABELLE HUPPERT, THE INTERPRETER NESLON, (VO Frances McDormand) VINCENT LINDON , CHIEF, VO Bryan Cranston) ROMAIN DURIS, REX, (VO Edward Norton) LOUIS GARREL, SPOTS, (VO Liev Schreiber) DANIEL AUTEUIL, JUPITER, (VO F Murray Abraham) LEA SEYDOUX, NUTMEG, VO Scarlett Johansson) MATHIEU AMALRIC, DUKE, (VO Jeff Goldblum) HIPPOLYTE GIRARDOT, BOSS, (VO Bill Murray)

YVAN ATTAL , KING, VO Bob Balaban) NICOLAS SAADA, SCRAP, (VO Fisher Stevens) JEAN-PIERRE LEAUD, GONDO, (VO Harvey Keitel)

We will have to admit, it is a cast that would make any French production pale with envy.

The last actors added are Daniel Auteuil, who is no longer introduced, and Jean-Pierre Léaud, the one who was revealed by the 400 blows, the film by François Truffaut.

This stop-motion animated film that should stand out for its sharp lines and sense of aesthetics will be in theaters on April 11. Isle of Dogs will be released in theaters on April 11, 2018.
